Tender Mercies

Friends and family!

This week we had a great experience! On Thursday at zone training the
zone leaders had trained on using the commitment pattern and using it
in a way that the people we were teaching would just commit themselves
to change. Later in the week we were having a lesson with a less
active sister and we were talking about going to church. We tried
using the commitment pattern the way the zone leaders had trained and
then all the sudden she’s all, “So, I’m going to come to church this
Sunday.” We were so excited! The best part though, was after sacrament
meeting on Sunday, she came up to us and said hello, we were so happy
to see her! It was great too because the lesson in gospel doctrine was
what we had taught about when we were at her house earlier in the
week, so she said she could participate a lot!

We saw the twins multiple times this week! They are doing awesome!
They are so excited to get baptized. We moved their date to July 31 so
that they can be better prepared, but they are loving everything we
are teaching them. They are so cute! I’m so so excited for them. Other
things that happened this week: making crab for our dinner
appointment, two of them fell on the ground and were crawling
everywhere in the kitchen. Also the fire alarm going off in our
apartment complex and Sister Condon jumping so high she fell out of
her chair. Setting up so many appointments with people. And talking
about the temple everywhere we go!

This week we’ve seen so many tender mercies from the Lord, I’m so so
grateful for all of the experiences we’ve had. This week I also
studied charity, I’m so grateful for Christ’s pure love for me. I’m
grateful for the fact that He knows exactly what I feel every day. He
doesn’t just know what the sorrow from my sins feels like, but
everything; the good and the bad. He knows what everyone else I know
and love has felt too. It’s crazy, one moment I think I have a little
bit of an understanding of Christ and His atonement and His love for
me, and then I learn something new and I think there’s no way I could
have understood what it was before this…and then it happens all over
again! I’m grateful to always be learning though. I will probably
never come to fully understand His atonement, but I am extremely
grateful for the experiences I’ve had here to help me understand it
just a little bit better. Christ loves us so much, He wants what’s
best for us, He does everything He can to help us achieve that. I love
the gospel so much. I love my Savior, I love the Book of Mormon, I
love the priesthood, temples, the Holy Ghost, a modern day prophet.
I’m just grateful to share this wonderful, good news with others!

I love you to the moon and back!

Love,
Sister Gomm
