This week was good! We saw many miracles! One of the best days was
Saturday. We went down to center city and handed out temple
invitations then went back to our area and talked to people at a city
event. By the end of the day we had handed out 105 invitations to the
temple and gotten tons of referrals for missionaries throughout our
mission! It was such a fun day!

perfect in everything. It’s amazing to think about all of the miracles
that happen because someone was in the right place at the right time!
I love the gospel and I’m so grateful for the truths that I have in my
life. I’m grateful for the temple and the promises we make with God
there. I don’t think I’ve ever talked about the temple so much in my
entire life, but this week especially, it’s something that has become
so important to me. I’m grateful that we get to be with our families
forever. I’m grateful God has provided a way for me to be eternally
happy. The truths we hold on to are amazing because they will never
change, God never changes.

I’m so grateful for the gospel and I’m grateful for a loving Heavenly
Father who wants all of His children to be happy. I’m grateful for the
priesthood which gives us the authority to be bound with our families
forever. I’m grateful for the Book of Mormon. I’m just grateful to be
a missionary at this specific time! 🙂

Have a great week! I love you to the moon and back!

So Many People!

Friends and family!

Hello! I hope you are all doing well! It has been a crazy week!! On
Tuesday Sister Eckman and I drove down to Broomall and I met one of my
new companions, Sister Abana! She is from the Philippines and has been
on her mission for a year! Our area is right in Philadelphia, in Logan
West! There are so many people here!! Everywhere we turn there’s ten
more people, it’s crazy.

On Wednesday we picked up our GOLDEN!! Her name is Sister Condon,
she’s from Holliday Utah! She is so cute!

Sister Abana has been in our area for one transfer so far, and we’re
just trying to figure this place out! We have two nine year olds that
we’re teaching with a baptismal date for next month! They are SO

Since we got here we’ve been praying for new investigators, and the
Lord is blessing us! Every single day since Tuesday we have received
multiple referrals from church headquarters! It’s so fun contacting
them, and it reminds me of referral confirmations at the vc… But we
have SO many appointments set up for this week with all of our

We had a lesson with an investigator that has been taught a couple of
times. Sister Condon was so excited because she was going to invite
her to be baptized! Long story short, the lesson didn’t go as planned
and we ended up talking about who knows what and when Sister Condon
invited her to be baptized she said, “Only if the water is warm! I’ve
already been baptized twice so if I do it again, the water better be
nice and warm!” Basically I was trying not to laugh the entire time.

I love the gospel and I love the people here, I don’t know why
Heavenly Father has blessed me so much, but I’m just grateful to be

I hope you have a great week and I love you to the moon and back!

Mission Maps

I love that we have access to the mission maps. There are 2 for Sammy’s mission. One shows the basic mission boundaries (smaller one on the right). The other (large one on the left) shows the details of the different branches, wards and stakes. I had the above picture collage printed at Costco at size 20″x30″ for $9.00. I have pinned it to a cork board (not shown). I have pins to mark where she is and has been. I have also made tags (right now they are just sticky notes, but I plan to print out tags with photos of her & her comps) that I have tacked on the side with the name of her area, dates served and her companion. Eventually I hope to paint the board or at least put some cloth over the cork board, but it works for now!

Information on how to find the mission maps is provided here:
